Despite of this, at the bottom of the 6th inning, the score was 3 - 3. Murton did a hit on the 7th inning, and Arai one on the 8th. But then Kubo, the Giants' relief, stroke out the following batters Johjima, Brazell and Sakurai. Basically only using forks. Our relief pitchers, Kawasaki, Kubota and Fujikawa did also a good job. So much that both teams began preparing for a 10th inning... And then, with one out in the bottom of the 9th, Hiyama's turn at bat came.

There was already one out when Hiyama came. Hiyama's hit went far, it was almost a homerun. Hiyama, known for being slow, managed to reach the third base. He was then replaced by S. Fujikawa. Ochi, Giant's closer, and his catcher Abe seemed hesitate, but finally walked Murton. Hirano also got a base on balls (probably this one was non-intentional). Our captain Tori was the one who batted the sayonara hit.

Malgré tout, à la fin de la 6ème manche le score était de 3 par tout. Murton a frappé un hit à la 7ème manche, et Arai un à la 8ème. Mais par la suite Kubo le relief des Giants a sorti par strike out les trois batteurs suivants, Johjima, Brazell et Sakurai. Pratiquement en ne lançant que des forks. De leur côté nos reliefs, Kawasaki, Kubota et Fujikawa, ont aussi assuré. Si bien qu'à la fin de la 9ème manche les deux équipes commençaient à se préparer pour une 10ème manche... C'est là que le tour de Hiyama arriva.

Il y avait déjà un out lorsque Hiyama est arrivé pour frapper. Son hit s'envola loin dans le outfield, manquant de peu de faire un homerun. Hiyama, pourtant réputé pour être lent, réussit à atteindre la troisième base. Il fût alors remplacé par S. Fujikawa. Ochi, le closer des Giants, et son receveur Abe semblent hésiter mais accordent finalement un but sur balles à Murton. Le tour de Hirano se termine de la même manière (peut-être pas intentionnellement cette fois). C'est le batteur suivant, notre capitaine Tori, qui frappera le sayonara hit.

Sin embargo Kubo, el relevista de los Giants, poncheó a los 3 bateadores siguientes: Johjima, Brazell y Sakurai. Casi solo con forks. Por su parte, nuestros relevistas Kawasaki, Kubota y Fujikawa, también mantuvieron todo bajo control. De tal manera que los dos equipos empezaban a prepararse para un décimo inning... En eso llegó Hiyama.

Ya había un out cuando llegó el turno de Hiyama. El hit que bateó casi fue un jonrón. Conocido por ser lento, Hiyama logró alcanzar la tercera base. Fue entonces reemplazado por S. Fujikawa. Ochi, el lanzador de los Giants, y su receptor Abe parecieron dudar un momento y finalmente concedieron una base por bolas a Murton. El turno de Hirano se acabó de la misma manera (probablemente esta vez no fue a propósito). Fue el bateador siguiente, nuestro capitán Tori, quien bateó el sayonara hit.
