Today's match was quite odd since the Tigers only managed to bat 4 hits, and none of the teams was able to hit a homerun despite the fact that they were playing in a Dome. Neither Hirano, nor Tori, nor Asai or even Johjima were able to reach the bases. They can win against Utsumi, but amazingly they could not do anything against Nakata, who pitched the whole game for the second time this season. It is surprising since last season he was a mere shadow of his former self. His best season was probably in 2007, the year the Dragons were the champions of Japan and Asia. Nakata's wining percentage was 0.636 an ha played 28 games. His ERA was de 3.59. But it seems that he is back to this level. These are his statistics for this season, compared to the ones of Chunichi's aces Chen and Yoshimi:
Nakata: 13 games, ERA 3.44, percentage of wins .566
Chen: 20 games, ERA 3.20, percentage of wins .529

To face Chunichi's "joker", Mayumi chose young Tatsuya Kojima. This season, it was the second time that he takes the plate for the first team. Top: Brazell.
Finding a "top" was not an easy task. Compared to his teammates outcomes, Craig Brazell can be happy of having batted two hits against Nakata.
Flop: Mayumi.
Actually it could be Kojima too, but after all it is not hos fault if his manager cannot see when a pitcher is ready or not. Moreover, if we have a look of the pinch hitters used today (that is to say... 1), and the reliefs, we can easily see how much Mayumi wanted to win this game.
Flop: Hirano.
He was elected MVP of July, so we could have expected him to bat at least one hit.
Flop: Johjima.
Well, captain, Kanemoto and Asai did not hit either. But since he is always strutting around, when he plays bad we notice it more.
