Johjima, Sakurai, Kanoh: 3 consecutive homeruns.
Summary:
The Tigers faced some difficulties at the beginning of the match. At first they were led to the score by 2 to 0 and then by 3 to 1. However, in the 6th inning, what seemed to be another defeat turned into a real picnic for Hanshin, and of curse for the fans too. Johjima's 3-run homerun caused enthusiasm among the public since it was a turnaround. His teammates had merely finished to congratulate him when Sakurai batted a solo homerun. The players and the fans had not yet recovered from their emotions when the next batter Kanoh entered the batters' box. He swung at the first pitch without a shadow of doubt and parked the ball far behind the left field. Arai also batted a homerun in the 8th inning, his 12th homerun. But Arai is such a "drag" (colloquial, but nevertheless suitable term): Hiroshima scored a run in the 9th inning because of Arai's error. Kubo won his 10th victory, and since the Giants lost yesterday and today, the Tigers are back in the first place!
No tops and flops today. Or rather, everyone was at top game today. Even Nishimura. (A homerun? What homerun? We did not see any homerun...)
