Hanshin-fans have a new idol since the Spring camp: Takuya Takahama (the 2007 draft no.1). This year will be his 4th season as professional player. He got 2 hits and 1 RBI during today's game against the Orix Buffaloes (victory 4 to 0).
However, within a few days Lotte will take one of the Tigers as a compensation of the pitcher Hiro Kobayashi, who joined Hanshin in the beginning of this year. It will be a great shame if we lose such a promising player.
The young pitcher Naoto Tsuru is also having good results since the practice games. Today he pitched during three innings after the starter Cheng. The first batter he faced did a hit, but that was the only one. The rest were grounders and a strike out.
