The Spring camp will be held to February 1st to 29th in Ginoza, Okinawa. Unlike the times before, this year the first string team will not join the farm team in Aki and will stay in Okinawa for the whole camp.
The players chosen for the Okinawa camp are:
Pitchers (22):
Watanabe, Enokida, Nohmi, Fujihara, Andoh, K. Itoh (rookie), Futagami, Tsutsui, Iwata, Fujikawa, Akiyama, Fukuhara, Kojima, Kubota, Kubo, Kobayashi, Nishimura, Tsuru, Wakatake, Messenger, Standridge, Shiranita.
Catchers (6):
Johjima, Komiyama, Shimizu, Fujii, Okazaki, Nakatani.
Infielders (10):
Yamato, Toritani, Sekimoto, Uemoto, Hirano, T. Arai, R. Arai, Kurose, Brazell, Morita.
Outfielders (6):
Kanemoto, Shunsuke, Murton, Hiyama, H. Itoh (rookie), Tagami.
In addition, 5 practice games are scheduled:
- On the 12th vs Nippon Ham.
- On the 14th vs Hiroshima.
- On the 18th vs Orix.
- On the 22th vs Rakuten.
- On the 28th vs DeNA (Yokohama Baystars).
The days off are the 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 24th, but can be changed according to weather conditions.
