Open game: Buffaloes 9 - 5 Tigers.

Starting pitcher Jason Standridge gave up 11 hits and 6 runs in 5 innings pitched.

Our batters are doing batter than in recent games, but there is still something lacking. For instance, if your pitcher hits and gets on base (like Standridge on the 5th inning), you would expect your batters to be even more offensive.

But there were many good plays:
- Sekimoto's homerun.
- Most of the usual staring members had hits: Hirano had an RBI, Tori, Brazell and Fujii had a hit.
- Young players also did a good job: Kurose had 1 RBI, and Yamato and Komiyama a hit. That's good for Komiyama, since he seems to be the most likely to become the starting catcher, maybe in a near future.
- Veteran Hiyama is back after recovering from an injury. He proved to be still the "God of pinch hitters" by driving a run in.

Tomorrow and Monday the Tigers will play against the Seattle Mariners and the Oakland Athletics at Tokyo Dome. I wonder if the manager and the coaches will send the regular line-up. About the starters, maybe Iwata will take the plate tomorrow since he hasn't pitched this week yet, and Messenger on Monday. What do you think?
