Today's game was the first of the Hiroshima series, the last before the Inter-League which will begin next Wednesday. Tigers' starter was Casey Fossum. He pitched during 4 2/3 innings and got 4 earned runs. However, he managed to strike out four batters.

Hiroshima's pitcher, Aoki (ERA 3.19, 1 W - 1 L), also pitched 4 innings and got 5 earned runs. All of them by Kenji Johjima who batted a fullbase homerun on the bottom of the 1st, and a timely grounder on the third.

Hiroshima tied in the 5th inning. Our reliefs Watanabe and Nishimura did a good job. Specially Nishimura who stroke out 2 batters and did not allow any safe hit. Unfortunately Kubota gave up 2 runs (and then he become the winning pitcher...)

Tigers were in a bad situation until the bottom of the 8th inning. First, Johijma and Brazell batted safe hits. Then, Kanoh was walked. Finally, pinch hitter Yano batted a timely hit. But there was just one out and Matt Murton's turn at bat came, resulting in the 2nd fullbase homerun of the game.
