Ogura vs Kubo

As expected, the two teams have the same level and the game was tight.

Softbank starting pitcher was Ogura. Tigers starting pitcher was Kubo and not Tsuru, because Uezono is likely to return to the starting rotation tomorrow.

Murton scored the first run for the Tigers in the 3rd inning. Nevertheless Shibahara tied in the 4th inning, and then the Hawks took the lead in the 7th thanks to Kawasaki. Hiyama finally tied in the 9th inning. Johjima who batted a hit before was replaced by substitute runner Yamato. Hiyama was also replaced by Kanoh as a substitute runner.

Consequently they played extra-innings. Arai, who did not bat any hit during this game, was the one who scored the "winning run" with a sacrifice fly.

Yamato also scored a run by sacrifice fly in the same inning. Finally our closer Kyuji Fujikawa did a good job as always. Even if we were a little worried because of two base on balls.

The picture of the day (that is to say, the one I liked): Kanemoto getting on second base.

Score of the other games:

Giants 1 - Fighters 7
Baystars 7 - Eagles 5
Swallows 0 - Lions 1
Carp 2 - Buffaloes 11
Dragons 2 - Marines 4

The two main rivals of Hanshin lost today. Since Dragons were defeated, Tigers got back in the second place.
