Consecutive losses...

Since Nohmi is said to take the plate tomorrow against the Marines, I hope that our ace will stop these consecutive losses: 1 to 0 and 3 to 1 against the Swallows, and today 3 to 0 against the Baystars (but the Baystars are quite different from last year: they have 9 wins and 3 losses by now).

The main problem is that our line-up doesn't have enough hits. And I'm talking about our usual starting members. Today Kubo gave up 3 runs in the first inning. He was supposed to be a relief pitcher this season, but I'm not blaming him since he quickly perked up striking out 3 batters and remaining hit-less during the 2nd and 3rd innings (besides, my favorite pitcher too is a specialist when it comes to screwing up the first inning). If only the batters had scored runs...

Bad news: Hiroki Uemoto is injured at the elbow, and according to Sanspo he may not be able to play at the beginning of the season. Hiroki is one of the young players that have been playing very well in recent games, so I'm quite worried and disappointed.

Well, this only will spice up the new season. Moreover, we are not the only team having problems. Giants' best starters also suffered crushing defeats. Sugiuchi gave up 7 runs to his former teammates from Softbank. Sawamura (last year's best rookie) and Utsumi both gave up 4 runs to the Orix Buffaloes (although the Giants managed to win the game started by Utsumi).
